preservability

Recorded information is preserved in an authentic and readable condition for a period specified by laws and regulations.

The following examples are listed as causes that threaten "preservability" in the Guidelines.
・Destruction or confusion, etc. of information due to viruses, inappropriate software, etc.
・Loss or destruction of information due to inappropriate storage and handling.
・Inability to read or incomplete readability due to deterioration of the recording media or equipment.
・Inability to restore data due to inconsistencies in the media, equipment, or software.
・Inconsistency at the time of data storage due to failure, etc.
