microfiche

A microfilm in which a large number of micro images are arranged vertically and horizontally on a transparent sheet-like film.

In order to easily identify individual microfiche from multiple microfiches, it is equipped with headings that contain the necessary information in letters or symbols large enough to be read by the naked eye.

As for the standardization of microfiche, there are standards, etc. in each country, such as ISO, JIS, and matters such as fiche sizes and frame shape are common.

The most common film size is A6, and JIS has standardized microfiche for documents (49 F, 98 F) and computer output (COM) microfiches (63 F, 208 F, 270 F, 420 F).
